Artist Ilze Laizāne has participated in several group exhibitions in Latvia, Belarus and Ukraine and she has had solo exhibitions. Her first success in art was in 1986 when she graduated Riga Applied Arts College of Design.
Artist looks for inspiration in middle ages and Renaissance art, and she is deeply interested in idejas of symbolism. In many art works Artist uses technique by painting human or animal body over each other, figuring layers that reveals by grinds. That is how rhythm and illusory space effect is created.
Artist paints not only figurative compositions, but also landscapes and portraits.
